Â黨ӰÊÓ Art Education faculty Mara Pierce and Â黨ӰÊÓ art education students open the Printmaking Studio, 1st floor of Liberal Arts Building, LI116, to 2018 Educator Conference participants and to all Â黨ӰÊÓ faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the community, to create prints around the theme of social justice awareness.

Día de los Muertos: Understanding its Cultural Legacy for Teaching

This workshop for conference participants offers a combination gallery walk through with Betty Avila, and a related hands-on experience with Dr. Rebecca Berru-Davis in the Â黨ӰÊÓ Drawing Studio. The workshop is designed to increase understanding and appreciation of the historical and contextual cultural expression of Day of the Dead in light of its recent popularization.

Family Night at the Gallery

Co-Sponsored by Â黨ӰÊÓ Junior Jackets and Â黨ӰÊÓ Center for Engagement, this  event is free for families of Â黨ӰÊÓ students, faculty, staff and alumni. The evening begins in the gallery with a tour of the exhibition, refreshments, and a hands-on activity for kids. The group will then proceed to Petro Hall for a 5pm screening of Coco.

ArtHouse Cinema

Peter Bratt's documentary, Dolores, which is a portrait of labor and feminist icon Dolores Huerta who was an equal partner in founding the first farm workers union with César Chávez will be screened at ArtHouse Cinema, downtown Billings. Free to the public and co-sponsored by Â黨ӰÊÓ’s Women's & Gender Studies Center and Â黨ӰÊÓ Program in Modern Languages.
