Artist Statement

I struggle with adhd daily and growing up my sisters and I were both mentally abused by our mother, so here is my struggle with anxiety, in ceramics we were tasked to make an 鈥渦rn鈥� (to bury something in theory). I told myself that journaling is can only go so far so I this is one way I am coping with my anxiety and my emotions. The jar is made of clay and glazed with sapphire blue and temmoku brown for the cork on the very top, the jar will hold notes that when the jar gets full, I will hopefully burn the notes and repeat the same process again.
