Artist Statement
The world is filled with noise and stimuli. Some flourish in this environment, while others struggle. Finding solace within one's own personal space can be a great reprieve for those who struggle with the high energy of public spaces. It can be invaluable for the sake of one鈥檚 mental health to have a place to decompress. In a world that prioritizes always being connected and being constantly informed it can be difficult for a person to disconnect from others and reconnect with themselves. Being not only comfortable with but to enjoy one鈥檚 own company can be a difficult skill to learn but can lead to better emotional control and satisfaction with one鈥檚 self.
