Augmented Kingdoms
An Exhibition by Sarah Knobel and Joshua Hobson
Augmented Kingdoms brings together the lens-based works of Joshua Hobson and Sarah Knobel, two artists who confront the pressing issue of climate change through innovative techniques and historical alternative processes. By bridging photographic innovation with urgent ecological themes, their practices aspire to illuminate pathways for both individual and collective reflection on environmental and societal responsibilities.
This exhibition includes a variety of physical, digital, and alternative photographic processes鈥攊ncluding lumen prints, photograms, and cyanotypes鈥攁longside various manipulations and presentations.
Sarah Knobel holds an MFA from the Design Architecture Art and Planning program at the University of Cincinnati. Knobel is currently an Associate Professor at Saint Laurence University, New York.
Joshua Hobson received a BFA in Creative Photography from University of Florida in 2007 and an MFA in 2017. Hobson is currently a Senior Lecturer in photography at Eastern Washington University and director of the EWU Gallery of Art.
