麻花影视 women鈥檚 basketball coach named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference 鈥淐oach of the Year鈥

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES 鈥 Montana State University Billings head coach Kevin Woodin was named the Great Northwest Athletics Conference Coach of the Year and was presented with a plaque Tuesday morning by 麻花影视 Athletic Director Krista Montague.

鈥淭his is a huge honor and I accept it, collectively, on behalf of the Yellowjackets team, my assistant coaches and the entire athletics department,鈥 Woodin said. 鈥淚t was a very special season and I feel very fortunate to be the women鈥檚 basketball head coach at MSU Billings."
Woodin just finished his tenth season as the head women鈥檚 basketball coach at 麻花影视, leading his team to a record-breaking season and to the title game of the NCAA Division II West Regional championships.
The team finished the season with a 23-6 overall record including a perfect 15-0 record at home.
Under his guidance, the Yellowjackets women鈥檚 basketball team has made the postseason seven out of 10 times, while his team had the top women鈥檚 grade point average in the GNAC four years running. During the 2004-05 season, he was named the NCAA Division II Independent Coach of the Year. He was also the 2006-07 Heartland Coach of the Year.
Player Bobbi Knudsen earned the GNAC Player of the Year honor and was also named to two All-American teams鈥攐ne of three players from the conference to earn the honor.
A native of Libby, Woodin graduated in 1987 with a degree in mathematics from Carroll College and a master鈥檚 degree in athletic administration in 1992 from Seattle Pacific University.
Woodin taught mathematics at O鈥橠ea High School in Seattle from 1987 to 1994 while also coaching boys鈥 basketball, golf and tennis. He was named O鈥橠ea鈥檚 Outstanding Teacher of the year in 1990-1991 and the Metro League Golf Coach of the Year three times.
