MSU Billings welcomes visitors from Capital University of Economics and Business

MSU BILLINGS NEWS鈥Montana State University Billings Office of International Studies (OIS) welcomed two
representatives from the Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) in Beijing,
China, on June 4.
Honghai (Henry) Chen, associate dean at CUEB, and Weidong (Jim) Zhang, the director of International Cooperation and Exchange, had meetings with the OIS, College of Business, study abroad department and Chancellor Dan Edelman to discuss the universities鈥 relationship. Outside of planning to continue to support student and faculty exchanges, the CUEB and 麻花影视 also discussed other areas of collaboration, such as joint programming, matriculation agreements and joint faculty research.
鈥溌榛ㄓ笆 is pursuing a robust and long-term internationalization strategy, a key component of which is student mobility,鈥 said Paul Foster, executive director of the OIS. 鈥淲e seek to send more students abroad to our partner universities and China plays a key role in this. In the 2018-2019 academic year, 麻花影视 sent over 50 students abroad: the highest number in the history of our university.鈥
CUEB has been making great strides toward realizing their vision of building a modern, international, multidisciplinary and unique university that is first in its class in China and respected all over the world. With cooperative ties in over 28 countries, CUEB welcomes students from over 100 universities. They offer 43 undergraduate programs in 19 teaching divisions.
