About

A peer mentor sits at a table having a discussion with a student.

Peer Mentors provide support and encouragement to students.

Peer Mentors assist students with study strategies, course selection, financial aid questions, time management, finding campus and community resources, writing a resume, and more.

Peer Mentors help identify their mentee鈥檚 academic goals. They also help identify barriers and obstacles that students face and help their mentees by setting out steps the student needs to take to achieve their goals.

Full-time SSS staff are mentors as well.

Neither peer mentors nor full-time SSS staff are licensed counselors. Students in crisis MUST be referred to qualified professionals to receive counseling services. Call TRIO SSS at University Campus at (406) 657-2162 or UC Student Health Services at (406) 657-2153 to learn more, or call TRIO SSS at City College at (406) 247-3051, or CC Student Health Services at (406) 247-3027 to learn more.
